Description:
INSTANUTE DR is a “ready to use” coating system, Sodium Alginate based, with particular characteristics of pH dependent solubility, making it the only product suitable for nutritional applications that require a delayed release.
This product can be formulated with a wide range of colors, both of natural and synthetic origin, and can also include flavors.

The particular degree of Sodium Alginate used in this formulation has a solubility in water at neutral pH, while it is insoluble at acid pH. It has been specifically designed to meet regulatory requirements for dietary supplements, nutritional and herbal products in Europe, the United States and other regions of North America.

Calculation for the quantities of INSTANUTE DR and solvent:
The amount of INSTANUTE DR (12% w/w) and water required is based on the amount of cores that need to be coated and the desired weight gain. For 1 kg of tablets and a weight gain of 10%, 100 g of INSTANUTE DR will be required to be added to 833 g of water maintained under stirring.

Reconstitution process:

Add the weighed amount of water to a mixing vessel;
Using a mechanical mixer, mix the water to form a vortex;
Add the weighted quantity of INSTANUTE DR at the center of the vortex with constant speed, avoiding the formation of granules and maintaining a vortex throughout the addition process. After adding the full amount of INSTANUTE DR, reduce the mixing speed to eliminate the vortex. Continue mixing for 45 minutes.
